Extended Family, Inc. is a family-owned personal care company.
Our caregivers assist the clients with Personal Care and Companionship
Services: such as eating bathing, transferring, walking, toileting, light
housekeeping, fixing and storing meals, grocery shopping, laundry,
medication reminders, scheduling medical appointments, and finding
transportation for medical appointments. Extended Family, Inc. started
business on May 15, 2008, in Breaux Bridge, LA (201 Leonard Street).
Extended Family, Inc. later opened another company in Houston, Texas
from 2013-2018. Because of its success, Extended Family,Inc. expanded to
two additional locations, in Breaux Bridge (702 Parkway Drive) which is
currently the corporate building and in Opelousas (308 W. Vine Street).
Extended Family, Inc. will soon be expanding to one
additional location in Breaux Bridge, LA (Latiolais Road). We specialize in
Long Term Personal Care Services (LT-PCS), Community Choice Waiver (CC),
New Opportunities Waiver (NOW), EPSDT (21 and under),
Residential Opportunities Waiver (ROW), and Children's Choice Waiver.

Description
My journey to success, started when I graduated from high school in 2002. In the Fall of 2002, I enrolled at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and barely made the cutoff, because I registered late. I’m a big procrastinator. While at college, I was a member of the marching band and the concert band. I graduated college in 2006, with a degree of Bachelor’s in Science in the College of Liberal Arts. I am honored to say that I’m an Alumni of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the Pride of Acadiana Marching Band. After college, I accepted an entry level position at the Rosehouse Health and Wellness Center; I was employed as the supervisor. While there, I was in charge of planning the activities for the elderly. The center was a place for the elderly to meet with their friends, use the exercise room, and attend health and wellness seminars.
After helping my dad with caring for my terminally ill grandmother; I realized that I found my calling, and I wanted to help the elderly. I helped her with everything from bathing, grooming, preparing food, grocery shopping to accompanying her to doctors appointments. My compassion grew very strong, knowing that I could help her the way she once helped me as a child, with the same personal care activities. Extended Family, Inc, was formed with my grandmother in mind.
At Extended Family, Inc., we want to take care of our clients like they are our family. I am a family oriented woman; I focus on my family and my business more than anything. My husband and I are successful business owners, and we are instilling the same values in our four children.
I am proud that I have accomplished so much. I have a total of 18 years in caring for the elderly and people with disabilities. I know I must strive to be greater. I know the road to success will not be easy; but I will always try my best and give it my all in everything that I do.
